Dubai: A 20-year-old man was rescued from the sea after he went swimming along with a 22-year-old man close to the Jumeirah Beach Residence on Friday evening. The latter is still missing, police operations room confirmed.
The incident was reported to Dubai Police operations room at 6:06pm about two men missing in the sea close to the Sheraton Hotel at the Jumeriah Beach Residence.
The Arab national was transferred to Rashid Hospital after being rescued, and has been classified to be in a moderate condition.
Sea rescue and air wing squads are intensifying their search for the second person, said a Dubai Police spokesperson.
