Dubai: A pregnant woman was severely injured when the taxi she was riding overturned on Shaikh Zayed Road on Tuesday.
The incident near the Business Bay Metro station was reported to the Dubai Police at 5:50pm.
Police and rescue teams had to use hydraulic cutters to rescue the driver and the woman, said Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Atiq Burqibah, Deputy Director of the Search and Rescue Department at the General Directorate of Transport and Rescue at Dubai Police.
The taxi driver sustained minor injuries. The woman was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
