Dubai: There was no fire at the Conrad Hotel on Shaikh Zayed Road on Wednesday.
A representative from the hotel told Gulf News that there was no fire, however, there was smoke coming out of a car in the basement.
“We fully evacuated the hotel, called the civil defence and the hotel team was on standby. It turned out that the smoke was coming out of a car parked in the basement parking. We were allowed by the Dubai Civil Defence to let people back in the hotel.” she said at around 3:20pm.
The smoke was due to some electric fault in the car, the representative explained.
