Sharjah: More than 10 shops on Al Wahda Steet were damaged, and 15 parked cars were damaged on Saturday morning after a gas cylinder exploded.

Police said the cylinder blast took place around 2.30am, and no deaths or casualties were reported.

The forensic laboratory at Sharjah Police confirmed that the fire began from a leaking gas cylinder in a cafeteria. A police official said the leaked gas affected all the electrical appliances inside the cafeteria.

When the gas cyclinder exploded, it damaged all nearby shops and parked cars.
