Sharjah: Sharjah Police on Thursday launched their latest rapid response vehicle that can deal with various accidents including fires.

Major General Humaid Mohammad Al Hadidi, Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police, inaugurated the vehicle.

He praised efforts in improving the service sectors at the state level that are up to world standards as per the directives of the UAE ledership.

The new rapid response vehicle is a self-contained mini-rescue operations room that has various equipments including a hydraulic cutter to cut open vehicles and free trapped accident victims.

The vehicle also has fire-fighting equipment.

Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak Al Dukan, deputy commander general of Sharjah Police; Colonel Abdullah Mubarak Bin Amer, director general of central operations, and Lt Col Ali Al Jallaf, head of ambulance and rescue, and Major Rashid Yousef Bin Sandal, director of ambulance and rescue, and a number of police officers attended the ceremony.
