Sharjah: One worker was killed and another seriously injured in a gas cylinder explosion in Sharjah, an official at Sharjah Police said.
The incident took place on Saturday morning in Al Saja’a industrial area.
One of the victims, identified as B.S., 32, succumbed to his injuries on arrival at hospital while the second person, identified as A.B.M.K.,27, was reported to be in critical condition with third degree burns.
The incident is the second of its kind within a week. Last week, two young goldsmith brothers suffered serious injuries when a gas leak triggered a gas cylinder explosion in their workshop.
