Police say victim lost his balance as forensic report rules out foul play
Dubai: A man who fell to his death on Saturday night in Dubai Marina was intoxicated and lost his balance before falling off the balcony of his Shahab Tower apartment, Dubai Police have confirmed.
Police officials received a report around 11pm on Saturday that a 30-year-old Asian man had fallen from his apartment in Dubai Marina, Brigadier Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri, director of Dubai Police's Criminal Investigation Department, said.
A forensic medical report ruled out any foul play.
"The man, who was living alone in his apartment, had two visitors in his apartment at the time of the incident, but the fall was caused by his loss of balance as a result of drinking alcohol," Brigadier Al Mansouri added.
