Ajman: Police said that shocked beachgoers found the body of a young Indian man who had apparently drowned early Monday morning.
Police said that initial investigations show that the deceased was an Indian expatriate in his 30s. They identified him only by his initials L. Sh.
Colonel Ali Saeed Al Matroushi, Director-General of Police Operations, said the body was taken to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.
There seems to be no foul play involved in the death of the man, police said.
Police said a bottle of liquor was found next to him.
The forensic laboratory report confirmed that the man drowned.
The police chief advised beachgoers not to ignore warning signboards and not to swim in dangerous areas.
