The funeral prayers for seven workers will be held at Al Jimi Hospital in Al Ain just after Maghrib prayers at 6.14pm, a senior Bangladeshi diplomat told Gulf News on Sunday.
The prayers for four workers will be held at the same time at Shaikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi, where their bodies have been kept in the morgue, said Lathiful Kazmi, Labour Counsellor at the Bangladeshi Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Biman Bangladeshi Airlines will carry ten bodies to Dhaka and one body to Chittagong at 2.30am on Tuesday from Abu Dhabi International Airport, he said.
Their names: Mohammad Nurul Alam, Shahjhan Mollah, Rokon Munshi, Noor Alam, Anwar Hussain, Habibur Rahman, Joynal Kabiraz
Bashar Shaikh Alif, Uzzal Miah, Mohammad Farooq Hussain and Mohmmad Farooq Hussain Mohammad Munir.
Kazmi said, of the 19 Bangladeshis killed in the accident, seven bodies were repatriated on Sunday morning.
The remaining body of Wasir Ali will be repatriated to Sylhet at 11.30pm on Tuesday, Kazmi said.
He said Bangladesh’s Biman Airlines flight carrying the seven bodies reached Chittaging at 8.50am local time on Sunday. The bodies were repatriated after the funeral prayers at Al Ain hospital mosque on Saturday evening. A large number of Bangladeshi community members paid their last respects to the departed. Bangladeshi government officials and family members of the victims received the bodies at Chittagong airport, he said.
The names of the seven victims whose bodies were repatriated on Sunday are Mohammad Burhanuddin, Mohammad Arif, Mohammad Hashim, Mohammad Sirajul Islam Majumdar, Mohammad Qurshidul Alam, Mohammad Masood Rana and Mohammad Alavuddin.
Meawhile, Ajbool Shaikh Hannan, the only Indian killed in the accident, will be repatriated to Kolkata in the east Indian state of West Bengal from Abu Dhabi airport at 3pm on Monday, a company spokesman said. The only Egyptian Ahmad Bakir’s body was flown home on Friday.
