Five people were killed on Thursday morning in Al Tawian area close to Dibba after a tyre of a mini-bus burst

The accident happened after the tyre of the minibus burst and the vehicle veered off the road into a pit, sources at Fujairah Police said.
Five of the victims were already dead, when they were brought to the hospital. Some of the six people injured are in stable condition while others are still under high risk
“One of the victims is an Indian man from Punjab and the four other victims are from Bangladesh,” a source, who declined to be named, said.
The accident happened around 6.40am in Al Tawian area close to Dibba. The vehicle was transporting the men from Dibba to their work place. The vehicle belongs to Sunline General Contracting.
Died instantly
All five victims, aged between 26 and 45, died on the spot.
Two out of the six people injured are in critical condition at the Dibba Hospital.
“Five of the victims were already dead, when they were brought to the hospital. Some of the six people injured are in stable condition while others are still under high risk,” Abdullah Salem, Director of Dibba Hospital said.
