Dubai: A fire erupted at  two warehouses in Al Quoz Industrial area on Saturday.

The warehouses were storing cartons along with mattresses, which caused huge smoke plumes.

Civil Defence officials said there were no causalities and the fire was put out in 15 minutes and the cooling operations was on.

The fire at the factory is owned by Intercoil International began at around 11am.

Hassan Al Hazeem, Managing Director, Intercoil International, said in a statement, "Today a fire broke out at the finished goods warehouse in Al Quoz, Dubai. We are extremely grateful to god that the fire was contained immediately and there were no casualties and everyone is safe with minor loss to goods. As our factories are enabled with the latest and most upgraded safety equipments and with the quick response by the team present on site and with the timely support  by the Dubai Police and the Civil Defence Department, the fire was controlled within 15 minutes.

"Things are under control now and the operations remain largely unaffected. We have already started refurbishing the affected area and the manufacturing operations will resume within the next 24-36 hours. We are committed to providing our consumers with uninterrupted services."
