Ras Al Khaimah: A bulldozer that overturned yesterday while being loaded onto a heavy vehicle has left one Indian national with moderate injuries.

A senior officer at the RAK Traffic and Licensing Department said the bulldozer was being moved from Al Qusaidat to the owner's company premises.

The driver of the heavy vehicle was injured. He was admitted to Saqr Hospital for treatment.

The officer said the bulldozer fell to the ground after not been tied well to the vehicle. It had been moved by a crane.

The street was shut off from traffic for some time and the owner of the company was contacted, the officer added.

Help

The company was provided with the necessary help to move the bulldozer after which traffic flow on the street was restored.

The officer called on construction companies to be more careful when moving heavy vehicles and to recruit experienced people to avoid unnecessary risks.
