Baby badly burnt by hot milk
One-year-old boy was burned badly in Sharjah by boiling milk and the father is under investigation
Dubai: A one-year-old boy was burned badly in Sharjah when boiling milk fell on him by accident, and the father is under investigation, Gulf News has learned.
The baby was admitted to the emergency section at Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah. The father is being questioned at Al Buhairah police station.
The boy was burned when he tried to pick up the mug which was on a table in the dining room.
Face, neck, hands
His face was badly burned as also a part of his neck and hands, and he was breathing with difficulty.
Paramedics rushed the boy from his home in Al Khan area to hospital by ambulance, his mother told Gulf News. She said it was not their fault.
"He was playing in the dining room while I was doing some work, but I was keeping an eye on his movements," she said.
A police officer said parents were to be blamed for their negligence. He called on parents to take care of their children.
"If you are not careful you will lose your children or cause them serious injuries," he said.
