Dubai: A fire that broke out in a paint and thinner factory in Quoz Industrial Area Monday night took two hours to control but smoke could still be seen billowing from the site around the area Tuesday morning.

A fire that broke out in a paint and thinner factory in Quoz Industrial Area Monday night took two hours to control but smoke could still be seen billowing from the site around the area Tuesday morning

- A large fire broke out in the National Paints warehouse opposite Al Khail Mall in Al Quoz on Monday evening. Police Civil Defence Firefighters, Ambulances and Paramedics were on the scene. A large crowd of onlookers gathered to watch, there were no immediate reports of injuries according to a Paramedic. The control room received a call about the fire at around 5.25 PM. Plumes of acrid back smoke filled the air and the surrounding area.
The smoke was a result of burning oils and paints.
Dubai Civil Defence said the fire was first reported at 5:35pm on Monday and was controlled by 7:22pm with the cooperation of fire fighters from Karama, Barsha and Qusais stations.
The cause of the fire had not been identified yet.
