Dubai: Meera, the surviving seven-year-old daughter, recounted her ordeal at the hands of her father, Hamad.

“My father did not visit us when we lived with my mother. One day he took us to his flat where he stayed with Al Onoud. They treated us badly and tortured us. They poured hot water on us and burnt our bodies with a hot iron… they did so without any reason. They locked us and left us without food for hours. Wudeema was tortured more than me… she used to bleed a lot. She fainted a number of times. One day, they tortured us horribly, when Wudeema fainted, he locked her in the washroom. I heard him telling Al Onoud that he will bury her. At midnight, they wrapped her up with a white cloth and left. They returned in the morning.”

The girls’ mother said Hamad’s brother visited her around 2am one day and asked her about Wudeema.

“I told him that I had not seen my daughters for seven months. He told me that Hamad was arrested. He claimed that he only found Meera but didn’t find Wudeema in the flat. When we saw the torture signs and burns on Meera’s body, we reported it to the police,” claimed the mother.
