Puddles in Naif Road parking lots need to be cleared
Water in Naif Road parking lots are breeding ground for mosquitoes and attract waste
The sun may be shining down, but it is "not enough to dry up the huge puddles that have been left behind, after the rain last week," according to Gulf News reader Sumitha A.
The community reporter explained that such puddles in vacant parking lots in Naif Road, Dubai, provide the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. She has also come across passers-by who urinate in the puddles.
Sumitha said: "This particular puddle has turned murky green and is contaminated by urine, spit and other waste." She urged the municipality to take action and clear up the mess, "as it is a busy area, surrounded by residential buildings".
