The theme for this week coincides with the start of the Chinese New Year. There are two Chinese proverbs: “Kindness is the best quality of the soul” and “We earn a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give”. What better way to demonstrate this than by offering our soul and heart and opening our homes to a pet in need; giving it an opportunity to also make a wonderful life surrounded by love, peace and security.

Chris - 38 Smiles

Chris is our Christmas rescue. He was found on December 24, frozen on the side of the road. He looked dead but wasn’t; not just yet. The initial vet check showed he was bitten on the back of his neck by a bigger cat. From the shock, the pain and the infection he was unable to move and was slowly fading away. Now, he can keep his head up, sit, stand and even walk around. Chris needs the most loving home a kitty can get.
