Muscat: The Middle East region will see positive changes during the new cycle of Jupiter in the coming 12 years, according to well-known Indian astrologer Pandit Ajai Bhambi.

"Citizens in this region will contribute in nation-building far more than they have in the past," the celebrity astrologer told Gulf News Tuesday.

Pandit Bhambi, who has written articles in Gulf News in the past, was in Muscat for a talk show - ‘Destiny & Astrology' - at the Indian Embassy.

He predicted that the new cycle of Jupiter, starting May 8 and lasting up to April 22, 2023, will trigger major changes in the world order.

In reply to a question, the soft-spoken astrologer said that in the next three years Dubai will regain its glory and return to the peak that the city enjoyed before the global economic recession. "I see Dubai booming like old times in next three years," he said.

Indian celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, business tycoons Ambanis and politicians, including Pranab Mukherjee, consult Pandit Bhambi for astrology, which the Delhi based astrologer says is a science.

Talking about Oman, he said that the Sultanate will carve a niche as a cultural-commercial capital in the region. "Oman will go through tremendous transformation in the next 12 years of Jupiter cycle," he says.

He sees Oman earning world admiration for its progress and achievements in coming years.

He pointed out that in Oman, as well as the other countries in the region, peoples' contribution towards every aspect of nation-building will increase.

"The national workforce will be more proactive in the coming years and contribute to the region's progress," he forecast.

Being Indian he feels that a new generation of politicians in his country will steer India to prosperity. "The corruption that you see now, will be rooted out in the next 12 years," he stressed.

Pandit Bhambi, who left for Dubai on Tuesday, feels there could be major changes in the weather patterns in the next few years. "The economies of some countries could suffer due to natural calamities such as tsunami," he said.
