Doha: POWER-GEN Middle East will hold its annual exhibition and conference in Doha, Qatar for the first time in its nine year history.
The conference and exhibition for the power generation, transmission and distribution and water industries will be held at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre in Doha on October 4-6, 2010.
Qatar’s power generation is expected to increase by a demanding 193.5 per cent before the year 2018, almost top of the range for the MENA region. The country will account for 1.85 per cent of Middle East and Africa (MEA) regional power generation by 2013, having a broadly balanced market throughout the period.
According to the forecasts the country will experience an increase in generation to 1,609 TWh by 2013, representing a rise of 44 per cent between 2007 and the end of the period.
