Islamabad: The daughter of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will contest from NA-48 Islamabad and not a constituency in Lahore in the next general election, the PML (N) has said.
According to media reports, talk about fielding Maryam Nawaz as PML-N candidate on National Assembly seat in the upcoming general election was rife in political circles.
The Pakistan Muslim League (N) leadership while confirming these reports has said that Maryam Nawaz will contest the next general election as PML-N candidate from Islamabad NA-48 and Lahore seats. However, it said there was no substance in the reports about the contesting of elections by Maryam Nawaz for a National assembly seat from Lahore.
