Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said only Nawaz Sharif’s image had the power to draw votes, not anyone else.

Addressing a ceremony, Abbasi questioned how many votes the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would receive if it asked for support on the basis of co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s picture.

He further challenged the opposition to bring no-confidence motion against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, adding that he will only dissolve the assembly if Nawaz’s party says so.

Talking on the ‘curse on parliament’ comment by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan, the premier said that he cannot say anything about such people who do not respect institutions.

Shedding light on Pakistan-US relations, PM said that there is no military danger from America and that Pakistan really wants to resolve Afghanistan issue. US is spending huge amount of money in Afghanistan, he added.

It is to be mentioned here that PM Abbasi would lead Pakistan’s delegation at World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland. The theme of the four day event, beginning on Tuesday, is creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World.

In a statement, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting said majority of delegation members representing Pakistan at Davos Forum are women.

The meeting, spread over more than four hundred sessions, would call for leaders to work together to create a shared narrative that will improve the state of the world.
