Kathmandu: A 105-year-old man was pulled out alive from the rubble of a collapsed building in Central Nepal eight days after the devastating 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck the country.
Fanchu Ghale of Kimtang village development committee in Nuwakot district was found buried beneath the rubble of his own house by a team led by Nepal Police and was rescued on Saturday.
The rescuers have recovered him 8 days after he was buried in the earthquake, according to a Hindustan Times report quoting the police. The Indian newspaper reported, however, that Ghale is 101 years old.

Apart from minor injuries in his limbs, his health condition is said to be fine.
He was airlifted by a Nepal Army helicopter to Trishuli District Hospital for treatment.
Surya Prasad Upadhaya, a government administrator, says two men – including the 105-year old - and a woman were pulled out Sunday from near Syauli village.
They have been taken to a nearby military hospital for treatment.
The district is the worst hit by the magnitude-7.8 earthquake with the highest number of casualties.
