Hyderabad: Thota Narasimhlu, the member of Lok Sabha from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, has lodged a complaint with the police that some unknown people had withdrawn Rs50,000 (Dh2,811) from his bank account by cloning his debit card.
In a complaint to the police the MP said during his visit to Benglauru in August he had used his debit card at a shopping mall and had revealed his pin number to the shop owner.
The investigation by the cybercrime unit of AP police revealed an unknown person had withdrawn the cash using the MP’s card in Goa.
The police have identified the culprit with the help of CCTV footage at the ATM where the money was withdrawn.
Investigations were continuing to help nab the culprit.
