Thiruvananthapuram: Three journalists were Thursday injured in an attack that came in the wake of series of local TV and print media exposes on the admissions controversy at self-financing colleges in Kerala.

The incident happened at the LMS compound, belonging to the Church of South India, which has its Bishop's House here.

A team of journalists had visited the Bishop's House in the compound seeking answers on the admissions controversy when they were attacked.

The reporters said their cameras and mobile phones were snatched by security men at the Bishop's House. They also suspect that some plain clothes policemen were among the attackers.

One security official at the Bishop's House was taken into custody, and the police have registered cases against ten others.

Both the leaders of the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M) and Yuva Morcha strongly condemned the attack on the journalists.
