Hyderabad: The blood bath continues on the Hyderabad roads with 8 more people, including three graduates of IIT Kharagpur, killed in two accidents on Friday morning.

Three students were killed and another was seriously injured when their car hit the divider on Outer Ring Road before colliding with a DCM van this morning, police said.

While two students, Ravi Teja and Surya Teja, died in the spot, Rohith died at Care Hospital. Their friend Kiran was battling for life in the same hospital. While Kiran is a student the other three were working in an IT company in Hyderabad.

They were travelling to Khammam from Hyderabad and met with the accident soon after leaving the city.

Earlier on Friday five people died when their car collided with a parked truck near Nandigam village in the outskirts of Hyderabad on Bengaluru highway. Police said the collision was so powerful that the entire car was shattered and police had to extract the bodies with great difficulty.

The accidents occurred even as road safety and rash driving has become the subject of heated debate following Wednesday morning’s accident in Hyderabad in which Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P Narayan’s only son Nishit and his friend Ravichandra died after their speeding Mercedes hit the pillar of Hyderabad Metro project in Jubilee Hills area.
