This year’s Dubai International Motor Show runs from November 10-14.

All eyes are on the calendar, as we count down to November 10 and one of the biggest events of the petrolhead’s year. This year’s Dubai International Motor Show is already poised to take the limelight as the region’s biggest and most influential automotive event, but it also stands to be the biggest show in its 22-year history.

With independent research data, organisers predict the sales of luxury and sports cars to grow by 20 per cent this year, while double digit growth has already taken place in Middle East markets for the first half of 2011. In other words, we’re set for a full house at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre this November.

While the list of exhibitors continues to grow, we already have confirmation of the industry’s top names, including Audi, Aston Martin, Bentley,Bugatti, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ferrari, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Peugeot, Renault, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo. Phew…

Jaguar and Land Rover will show off their 2012 models as well as the new XKR-S, the most powerful Jaguar ever. The show will also set the scene for the official introduction of the Range Rover Evoque, the company’s smallest and most efficient vehicle yet.
Audi Middle East will display everything currently found in their showrooms, as well as a few new models, which the company prefers to keep secret for now. We’re guessing, and hoping, that Ingolstadt is preparing the upcoming S6, S7 and S8 models.

Representing Japan, Nissan aims to launch two new models, as well as their regular 2012 line-up, including the venerable 530bhp GT-R.

The tuning section of the show will roll out the red carpet for high-end customisers such as Brabus, Hamann, Fab Design, Gemballa, TechArt and Vorsteiner.

The show will run from November 10 to November 14, with tickets priced at Dh50.
