Dubai: Cars are being given away every year. But this 20th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), just how many cars are gonna be given away?

Encouraging shoppers to check out your shop bargains is challenging at this time of the year if all malls are giving away discounts. But the game changes if you’re giving out hard-to-resist raffle prizes like cars, cash and gold.

Gulf News checked various malls and institutions in the city participating in this year’s DSF and noted that more than a hundred cars will be given away this year.

The Infiniti Mega Raffle still tops the most number of cars to be given away — at 64 in total — although the purchases are not actually from malls. Each day, a lucky winner gets a chance to win Infiniti models QX60 and Q50, plus Dh100,000 in cash for a minimum purchase of a ticket worth Dh200 at select Enoc and Eppco stations, Gold Souk and at main streets.

Nissan Grand Raffle follows the lead with 32 Nissan cars — or one car a day — plus a Nissan Patrol every week. Shoppers can get a chance to win any of these cars for every Dh20 spent at the convenience store Zoom or at Pronto, Dh30 spent for a car wash at Enoc or Eppco or Dh100 spent for an oil change or any AutoPro service.

The Mall of the Emirates is giving away a Bentley Continental worth Dh850,000 this DSF for one of its lucky Luxe Zone shoppers spending a minimum of Dh699.

Ibn Battuta, on the other hand, gives shoppers a chance to drive home an Audi for a minimum spend of Dh200 at any of their shops.

Those not into cars may go to the Dubai Mall for a chance to be a millionaire with a minimum spend of Dh300 at its shops.

Mirdif and Deira City Centre are not giving away cars nor cash but are giving away 20 gold coins to a lucky shopper daily worth Dh18,000.

The Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group is also giving away 100kg of gold and 40 carats of diamonds worth Dh15 million on every purchase of Dh500.
