Dubai: Paid parking hours will change in the evening during the month of Ramadan across most parts of the city, operating from 7pm until midnight, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced.
However, the timings in special zones, including Deira Fish Market, Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and Knowledge Village, will remain the same.
Working hours at the RTA customer service centres and vehicle testing facilities will also change for the month, while public transport will also operate under a new timetable.
RTA’s customer service centres at Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha, Deira and Karama will operate from 9am to 2pm, and Al Twar, Al Manara, and Al Aweer centers will remain open between 9am and 5pm. The JBR centre will work from 10am to 3pm.
All vehicle testing centres will operate in split shifts from 9am to 3pm and from 9pm to 12 midnight.
However, the Quick Testing Centre will operate from 8am to 5pm and from 9pm to 3.30am, while Shirawi Testing Centre will operate a straight shift from 9am to 6pm.
The changes to timing for buses will come into effect from June 18 to July 17.
The urban routes at Gold Souq and Al Ghubaiba stations will operate between 5am and 12 midnight.
Routes to and from Al Ghusais, Satwa, Al Quoz Industrial, and Jebel Ali stations will operate between 5.l40 am to 10.30pm and all other stations from 5am to 12.30am, except for Route C01, which will continue to operate round-the-clock.
However, the intercity routes will continue to operate unchanged.
The Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram and feeder buses will also continue to operate with no changes to the timings.
The water bus at Dubai Creek and Dubai Marina will operate from 12 noon to 12 midnight from Saturday to Thursday. On Friday and public holidays, the service will start at 2pm and continue till 1am.
The Water Taxi service at the Marina station will run from 2pm to 10pm, at Al Ghubaiba station from 4pm to 10pm, and at the Palm area from 4pm to 10pm.
The Dubai Ferry at Al Ghubaiba station will operate at 11am and continue up to 6.30pm in the journey to Marina station.
