When it comes to this arrangement, specially created for National Day Al Noori says the large white pot represents the nation; the branches, denoted by circles are symbolic of the unending growth and also the various sectors where the UAE has been a trendsetter. “W’e’re a young and growing nation and the special white orchids that we have used not only signify the pure and simple nature of our nation, but we hope like the longevity of the orchid, the UAE will always have a very long future,” she says.
As an artist, Al Noori feels the need to share the immense source of beauty through floral arrangements. “The need to be trendy has driven me to travel around the globe and source the most innovative and modern techniques. For instance, this National Day we have commissioned a special set of roses that will have the four colours of the national flag.”
For those who think these can’t possibly be real, these roses with multi-coloured petals are known as rainbow roses. To create them, the stem of the rose is split and each part is dipped in different colours, which are drawn into the petals resulting in these gorgeous flowers.
