Fire guts textile warehouse in Ajman

Ajman: A fire broke out in a textile warehouse in Ajman’s new industrial area on Tuesday, said Lieutenant Colonel  Ra’ad Obeid Al Zaabi, deputy director of Civil Defence. No casualties were reported.

The warehouse was gutted in the blaze.

Firefighters managed to control the fire and prevented it from spreading. A rescue team evacuated nearby buildings.

Police blocked all roads leading to the warehouse, allowing firefighters and ambulance personnel to reach the area quicker, he said.

The site will be handed over to forensic experts after cooling operations are complete. Forensic experts will be visiting the site to determine the cause of the fire.
