Fire destroys warehouse in Sharjah

Sharjah: A huge fire destroyed a warehouse in Sharjah’s industrial area on Wednesday evening, an official at Sharjah Civil Defence said.

Brigadier Abdullah Al Suwaidi, director-general of the Sharjah Civil Defence, told Gulf News that the fire broke out at 7.10pm in Industrial Area 2.

Firefighters from Sharjah headquarters, Muwailh, Samnan and Al Himryah as well as Ajman and Dubai Civil Defence worked to control the blaze.
