Fire breaks out near Pepsi factory

Dubai: A small fire broke out at around 1pm on Monday in an empty lot that contained barrels of waste materials in Al Quoz area near Meydan Street and the Dubai Refreshments Company.

There were no injuries as it was an empty lot and the firefighters reached the scene within three minutes, a source at Dubai Civil Defence said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
