Dubai: No one was injured when a fire broke out in a restaurant on Shaikh Zayed street on Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson at Dubai Civil Defence said the fire was contained quickly, within 40 minutes, before it spread to neighbouring shops.
The operations room had received a call about the incident at 2.39pm
Also on Wednesday, a fire broke out on a wooden dhow in Dubai Creek.
No one was injured.
