All proceeds from sales to be donated to Noor Dubai Foundation to help cure blindness
Dubai: Dubai Ladies Club launched Designs of Hope, a special three-day charity fashion exhibition, where all money from sales will be donated to Noor Al Hayat charity to help cure blindness through Noor Dubai Foundation.
Noor Al Hayat is the first activity of Al Manal Humanitarian Initiative. The Charity Bazaar will run from July 31 to August 2 and will be open to ladies only.
Entry is from 9pm-1am and it is complimentary. The exhibition will feature over 14 home-grown UAE fashion labels which include DAS Collection, Designers Empire, Slouchy’z, The Puppet Show Dubai, R Style, NAFS, 1001 Abayas, Moonoir, Lamsaty, Queen of Spades and The Black Thread, Homa Q, Ghizlan and Kanzi.
Each designer has donated several pieces from their collections, which makes it possible to donate the full value of the sale towards the Noor Al Hayat campaign. All items are priced at Dh1,000, regardless of their original value.
Lamia Abdul Aziz Khan, Director of Dubai Ladies Club, said, “In recognition of the first annual Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work, the Dubai Ladies Club is delighted to launch a unique charitable initiative that combines every woman’s natural affinity for beautiful fashion and design with her innate need to nurture and support the underprivileged. I invite all ladies — members and non members — to join us in making this event a success.”
She added, “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the designers who have come forward to participate in this charitable initiative.”
