TRA participates in Security and Privacy of Smart Devices competition

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has participated in the first edition of the Security and Privacy of Smart Devices competition, which was organised by the Khalifa University for Science, Technology and Research, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Polytechnic. The TRA’s participation aimed to offer the competition support in raising awareness of the importance of maintaining security and privacy of personal information, particularly in light of the increasing demand of internet usage by smart mobile devices. This year, the focus of the competition was on the development of equipment, software and innovative solutions, and preventing the use of cameras on smart devices during conferences and in zones of a sensitive nature.
