Etisalat to participate in Mobile World Congress

UAE telecom major to highlight 4G LTE achievements

Abu Dhabi: Etisalat on Wednesday announced its participation at the annual event Mobile World Congress 2013 to highlight its accomplishments and leadership in the UAE telecom sector and provide insight into their future projects in the country.

Global attendees will benefit from learning about Etisalat’s experience and achievements in building the most advanced ICT infrastructure in the region as it was the first telecom major in the country to launch the 4G LTE network -- which now covers 80 per cent of the inhabited area within UAE.

Mobile World Congress 2013 will be held from February 25-28 at Barcelona, Spain.

Saleh Abdullah Al Abdooli, CEO of Etisalat UAE, said: “The mobile ecosystem has witnessed rapid changes over the years with innovation taking centre stage in creating new applications in the technology as well as telecom segment. Etisalat has proved itself locally as well globally with its investments in the network and providing innovative services and solutions to our customers.”
