Etisalat Q2 profit soars 58 per cent
Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) has posted a net profit of Dh3 billion ($817 million) in the second quarter, which is up 58.2 per cent from first quarter this year.
Dubai: Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat) has posted a net profit of Dh3 billion ($817 million) in the second quarter, which is up 58.2 per cent from the first quarter this year.
The forecasts by analysts for Etisalat's second quarter showed a range from Dh2.03 billion to Dh3.09 billion in a survey in June.
Etisalat, the largest Arab telecom firm by market value, made Dh1.89 billion in the second quarter of 2007 and Dh2.12 billion in the first quarter of 2008.
