Dubai: Etisalat has formed a partnership with WiFi hotspot aggregator iPass to provide eWiFi — unlimited WiFi data roaming access — for travellers.
Etisalat will offer travelling customers ease of access and unlimited high-speed connectivity at different places, including hotel and conference venues and global airports. The offer works with both prepaid and postpaid lines.
Subscribers of Etisalat’s roaming packages can avail of the weekly or monthly access pass. This will enable them to enjoy high-speed internet by subscribing to unlimited WiFi access for Dh100 per month in addition to their weekly/monthly roaming packages of Dh200 or Dh500, respectively. Customers currently enjoy 1GB allowance with the weekly data roaming package and 1GB data and 1,000 incoming voice minutes with the monthly roaming package.
Standalone offer
The eWiFi daily is also available as a standalone offer for Dh60 with unlimited access.
“This offer is another example of our constant innovation that has now helped combine the best of two offers. Earlier this year, we launched the mobile data roaming packages for our customers, enabling hassle-free travel without high mobile data costs. The Traveller Combo enabled subscribers to choose the mobile data roaming pack that is most suitable for them,” Khaled El Khouly, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat UAE, said.
The unlimited WiFi Internet access across iPass network hotspots is available at competitive prices for use on Wi-Fi devices, including all laptops and iOS and Android devices.
Customers can download and install Etisalat eWiFi application from the Etisalat website or selected app stores like iTunes or Google Play free of charge.
The customer can text “id” for daily access or “ir” for weekly/monthly access from his Etisalat mobile phone (prepaid or postpaid) to 1010 to receive eWIFI login and password.
