Dubai: du, the UAE's second telecom operator, yesterday announced 10 distributors nationwide to roll out its services.

More than 90 outlets of Axiom, Alltronix, Emirates Computers, Eros, Fono, Jacky's, Jumbo, One Mobile, Plug-Ins, RadioShack and Telefonika will offer du SIM cards on both pay as you go (pre-paid) and monthly plan (post-paid) packages, as well as du recharge cards.

du pay as you go is also available at more than 1,000 outlets across the UAE - Emarat, Enoc and Eppco petrol stations being a few on the list.

Osman Sultan, chief executive officer of du said, "We want to provide all our customers across the nation easy access to du products and services.

Values

"All our partner dealers share similar customer centric values as du, and together we want to usher a new world of telecommunication based on preferences and expediency," Sultan said.

du's partnership with premium UAE dealers who have a nationwide presence reflects its understanding of customer needs and the importance of locations near to home or office.

du launched countrywide mobile services from February 11 and is set to roll out fixed line, pay TV and internet services in stages following the initial launch.

du is the new telecommunications company in the UAE. It is 40 per cent owned by the UAE federal government, 20 per cent by the Mubadala Development Company, 20 per cent by Tecom Investments and 20 per cent by public shareholders.

It is listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and trades under the name du.

du currently provides fixed line, internet and pay TV services in some of the free zones of Dubai, following its purchase of Tecom Investments' telecom assets.
