Dubai: DP World on Tuesday said it had welcomed the largest bulk carrier vessel to call at Jebel Ali port.
Saba Shipping’s 229-metre-long Mega Star was carrying around 79,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel from Turkey when it docked at DP World’s flagship port, according to DP World.
Jebel Ali Port has more than 90 weekly services to over 140 ports worldwide. Last month, Jebel Ali Port welcomed the first scheduled vessel to call at its new Container Terminal 3.
