Abu Dhabi: Heralding the transition of Abu Dhabi Ports’ (ADP) Roll-On/Roll-Off (RORO) cargo facility from Zayed Port to Khalifa Port, ADP welcomed the first scheduled RORO vessel, the MV Dream Angel, at the Khalifa Port RORO terminal on Monday.

The MV Dream Angel, which is operated by Nissan Motor Car Carrier, NMCC, arrived from the ports of Yokohama and Kanda in Japan and carried 164 car units for Abu Dhabi Ports’ key customer, Al Masaood Automobiles.

Al Masaood Automobiles is one of the region’s main distributors for Nissan and Infiniti, and the new vehicles will now be sent to dealers across the UAE.

To mark the maiden call of the MV Dream Angel to Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi Ports officials welcomed the captain and his crew with an official ceremony and presented a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.

Abu Dhabi Ports manages nine commercial, logistics, community and leisure ports, including its flagship state-of-the-art, deepwater Khalifa Port.
