Dubai: DP World opened its upgraded semi-automated terminal in Brisbane, Australia on Tuesday.

The upgraded DP World Brisbane facility includes 14 remotely operated automated stacking cranes (ASC).

The remotely operated cranes are set to improve safety and productivity by taking workers off the quayside and into the control room.

The opening was attended by Australia’s Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Jamie Briggs, DP World Chairman, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DP World Australia Chairman, Holly Koeppel, and DP World Australia Managing Director and CEO, Paul Scurrah.
