Enoc Bunkering (Fujairah) LLC (EBFL), an Enoc Group affiliate, will begin a permanent fuel supply operation for the shipping business in Dubai from December 1.

The company will position its new charter bunker tanker at Jebeli Ali where it will be backed up by a 20,000 tonnes dedicated storage tank allocated from Eppco International's facility at the port.

The tanker, which was built in 1989, is a 5,000 dwt double sided, double bottomed vessel that is able to segregate 4,000 tonnes of fuel and 900 tonnes of marine gas oil and supply container vessels with maximum efficiency from its stern discharge facility.

Hussain Sultan, group chief executive and board member, Enoc, said: "After three years of successful operations in Fujairah we now supply 350,000 tonnes of bunker fuel every month, representing some 40 per cent of the local market.

"We will now offer a permanent bunkering service at Jebel Ali from this new vessel."

He noted the company has supplied fuel to the shipping business in Dubai on request in the past, but with the continued growth in maritime traffic through Jebel Ali it will now offer a full service to the industry.

It provides a range of bunkering and cargo services, including transportation, trans-shipment, storage, bunkering and marine fuel oil sales from its main office in Fujairah and Enoc branches overseas.
