Dubai: DP World, one of the world’s largest port operators, said on Wednesday it has awarded two contracts for construction work at its Container Terminal 4 in Jebel Ali Port.

The contracts for phase 1 have been awarded to Dubai-based Dutco Balfour Beatty and BAM International Abu Dhabi, according to an emailed DP World statement. Dutco will build an operational yard with a 1,200 metre quay and BAM will construct a 400 metre bridge and causeways. It will also build the 2.2 kilometre quay wall with a depth of 18 metres.
