Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday inaugurated the Artificial Intelligence Centre (Panorama) to manage operations at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Adnoc.

The Panorama Centre allows monitoring and comparing performance rates in Adnoc’s operations continuously and analysing big data by using the latest artificial intelligence devices and platforms, thereby providing instant and accurate information that support and accelerate the decision-making process.

“The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will continue to support the oil and gas sector and develop its capacity in order to achieve optimal use of energy resources and establish solid foundations for a strong economy that ensures a bright and secure future for generations to come,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

The centre allows the direct control of operational processes through thousands of data covering all processes and activities of Adnoc in all areas and phases of the oil and gas sector through a screen 50 metres in length extending from floor to ceiling.

Shaikh Mohammad praised Adnoc’s efforts and role in strengthening the country’s position in the energy sector worldwide as well as its effective contribution to supporting progress and prosperity. He also lauded its constant pursuit of development and modernisation by harnessing innovative technology in their operations and its activities.

The opening  of the Panorama Centre aligns with Adnoc’s ongoing efforts to harness modern technology and innovations to enhance the competitiveness of the UAE and increase Adnoc’s capacity to cope with changes in the energy sector to ensure its continuity to play its role as a reliable provider that contributes to meet the world energy demand and develop the national economy.

Shaikh Mohammad commended the development achieved by all vital sectors in the country.

Following the inauguration, Shaikh Mohammad attended the second Abu Dhabi CEO Roundtable, which was held at Adnoc’s headquarter on Sunday, and brought together the world’s leading oil industry chief executives to discuss the new energy landscape and different models for growth across the industry.

Shaikh Mohammad met with the CEO’s and welcomed them to the UAE. He wished them success in their meeting and expressed the hope that their discussions would yield good results that help support progress and growth in the oil and gas industry in the world. He emphasised the importance of dialogue and exchange of views and opinions to develop the sector.
