DUBAI: His Highness Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Monday inaugurated the seventh edition of the Big Entertainment Show (BES) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The BES embraces three specialised events: the Dubai International Brand and Licensing Fair, Dubai World Game Expo and MYCONTENT. The Big Entertainment Show (BES) has become the largest show in the MENA Region specialised in Media and TV content, character and brand licensing, game developing and publishing, in addition to all trading companies working in the export and import business.

Following the opening ceremony, Shaikh Mansour toured the exhibition where he was introduced to more than 130 local and international exhibiting companies participating in the show this year. Shaikh Mansour was introduced to the latest technologies and developments in the fields of online games, cartoon characters, animation, and TV and film productions.

The Big Entertainment Show has participation this year from the UAE, South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Lebanon, Morocco, Malaysia, Belgium, Egypt, Germany, India, Austria, the UK, Turkey, the US and Japan. The exhibition is also hosting national pavilions from South Korea, Morocco, Japan, and Malaysia.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, Anas Al Madani, Vice-Chairman and CEO of INDEX Holding, said, “We believe that the industry of online games, media content and brand licensing is recording a massive growth and prosperity in the region. This in turn reflects the importance of the Big Entertainment Show being the largest specialised B2B show in the Mena Region.
