Dubai: A UAE-based company has already started hiring new employees to provide manpower for its massive residential and hospitality project in Dubai, a spokesperson told Gulf News.
Initially, at least 3,000 employees will be hired directly by Al Habtoor Group, which is building a multi-use project that will feature three top-rated hotels and three luxury residential towers on Shaikh Zayed Road. The development, which will also have a European-inspired boulevard and marina, will be home to multiple restaurants, cafes and bars.
"We have hired some positions already, but the total number [of employees in Al Habtoor City] will be 3,000 by opening," the company told Gulf News on Wednesday.
The project is scheduled to open its doors to the public this year. It is located on the banks of the Dubai Water Canal, not too far from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Business Bay.
The company said the number of employment opportunities is expected to go up, as there will be many more third-party contractors, such as those that provide security and valet services, as well as tenants, who will be needing their own manpower.
Additional staff, around 150 people, will also be required by Dragone, which will operate a permanent water-themed theatrical production in Al Habtoor City.
