Dubai: Careers UAE 2014, one of the biggest Emirati job recruitment platforms in the UAE, was inaugurated on Tuesday by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

The exhibition, which this year features more than 160 companies, allows Emirati job seekers to meet with recruiters for employment and traineeship opportunities.

This year, Careers UAE, has seen a significant increase in private sector exhibitors with 90 participating companies, increasing the year-on-year involvement of private sector representation by 29 per cent.

“Careers UAE provides a unique platform for Emiratis to enhance their career advancement prospects and take advantage of a dynamic, diverse and engaging range of recruitment, training and education opportunities,” said Helal Saeed Al Merri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC.)

Open exclusively for Emiratis and HR practitioners, Careers UAE 2014 will be held in Halls 1-4 at DWTC. The three-day event runs until Thursday and is open daily from 10am to 6pm, the fair is open exclusively for women from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday.
