Abu Dhabi:

Al Habtoor City, a residential and hospitality development currently under construction, is set to employ thousands of people, with the Group’s recruitment teams now hiring locally and abroad.

The City will open its doors to the public later this year, and is expected to be a boost to the local economy.

“There will be about thousands of staff in Al Habtoor City. The jobs will include everything from reception staff to general managers. In addition, there will be aquatic coaches and various artists,” stated Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the group’s chairman.

He added that the hiring schemes focus on Emiratis and other GCC nationals to fulfil the Emiratisation programme.

There will be more than 150 staff employed by Dragone, a cultural creation company, for the water-themed theatrical production within Al Habtoor City. This will include artists, crew, and show management.

Al Habtoor City employs approximately 5,000 construction workers. Once complete, there will be multiple other jobs available in the dining outlets along the marina and boulevard, as well as contractors for security and valet roles.

The Group also employs people abroad, as it has hotels in Beirut, Budapest, and Illinois. Its auto division has witnessed growth, too, bringing on new brands and expanding throughout the UAE.
