Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday received Dan Ammann, President of General Motors, and his delegation at Nakheel Head office in Jumeirah.
They exchanged views about a number of topics related to economy and investment and ways to strengthen General Motors’ presence in the region through its regional office in Dubai.
Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, were present.
Shaikh Mohammad welcomed the presence of international companies in the UAE through their regional offices where the UAE constitutes a meeting point between the East and the West.
Ammann thanked Shaikh Mohammad and relevant authorities for the unprecedented facilities provided to the General Motors’ regional office in Dubai, and the vast potential offered by the UAE in general and Dubai in particular, to attract and encourage investment and strengthen the national economy and the development of the tourism sector, which has all the elements of and reasons for success and prosperity.
He referred to the integrated and sophisticated infrastructure with modern international standards, not to mention the psychological and social stability and the security in the UAE and the harmonious cultural fabric.
